Insulating varnishes and impregnating resins are thermosetting resins such as epoxies or phenolics. They are used to ensure that electrical devices, including motors, generators, transformers, sensors, and other devices that function by electromagnetic induction, have the necessary electrical insulation and structural integrity for operation. These materials crosslink when applied and are, therefore, inherently strong, environmentally stable, impervious, and durable. Transformers, for instance, are comprised of coil windings where the electric wires are protected by a thermosetting resin or an insulating varnish (also called a wire enamel or primary insulation) to prevent electrical shorting. The completed transformer, comprised of an assembly of coil windings and insulating paper, is sealed with a thermosetting resin to provide environmental protection (especially from moisture and dust) to eliminate air in the transformer that can conduct electricity and heat, and to provide strength.
At Global Connection,we have H class varnish of different brands ranging from local Euro Varnish to UK based Ultimeg AEV Brand . We have varnishes available for every customer based on their requirements.
Electrical Insulating varnishes are resins like epoxies or alkyds used to protect high voltage machines such as transformers, motors and generators from electrical failure. They are applied over electrical conductors to provide a layer of electrical isolation and prevent shorting. While very similar to conformal coatings, these systems have superior dielectric properties, which makes them a better choice for applications like insulating windings and coils.
Red insulating varnish is an alkyd resin with exceptional dielectric strength, used to electrically isolate conductors in windings and coils. It is applied like a conventional paint, by dipping, brushing and spray. However, the sheer size of some motors renders these methods unfeasible. In such circumstances, vacuum impregnation is employed, where large vacuums transfer liquid resin from a holding tank to a coating chamber, essentially encapsulating exposed wires.
Varnishes are basically four classes of insulation – A, B, F and H – class F being the most commonly used. These insulation classes were established to meet motor temperature requirements found in industrial applications Global Connection we understand that our winders need the best insulation class varnish for their motors and transformers so we have only H class varnishes.
